10. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

10.1 Right to Know

You have the right to request information about:

  • Categories of personal information collected
  • Sources of personal information
  • Business purposes for collection
  • Categories of third parties with whom we share information

10.2 Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.

10.3 Right to Opt-Out

You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money; we do share website activity (IP address, online identifiers, device information, pages viewed and interactions) with advertising providers for ad measurement and targeting, and you can opt out at any time at our Your Privacy Choices page or via the cookie banner (see Section 11).

10.4 Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

To exercise your rights, contact us at tech.team@creweats.com.

11. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

11.1 Types of Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic app functionality
  • Performance Cookies: Help us analyze app usage and performance
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and settings
  • Marketing Cookies: Used for targeted advertising (with consent)

11.2 The Specific Tools We Use on creweats.com

Our website loads the following measurement and advertising tools, managed through Google Tag Manager:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — site usage analytics: pages visited, referral source, and form submissions.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures whether our Meta advertising led to a visit or a lead submission.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Corporation) — measures whether our LinkedIn advertising led to a visit or a lead submission.
  • Reddit Pixel (Reddit, Inc.) — measures whether our Reddit advertising led to a visit or a lead submission.

These tools may set cookies and share the fact of your visit or lead submission with the named provider. Some U.S. state laws treat this kind of advertising measurement as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; you can opt out at any time as described below.

11.3 Your Choices and Consent

  • In the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland: these tools stay off until you accept them via our consent banner. Declining keeps them off; the site works fully either way.
  • Elsewhere (including the United States): these tools run by default with notice, and you can opt out at any time — the banner's Decline button and the Your Privacy Choices page ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information") both turn them off.
  • Global Privacy Control: we honor the GPC browser signal as an automatic opt-out.
  • Your choice is stored in your browser with a timestamp and the version of the notice you saw, and is re-applied on every visit. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
  • You can additionally block cookies with your device settings, app preference settings, or browser controls.

11.4 Referral Program Cookie

  • ce_ref — referral code from a friend's invite link, so we can honor their referral. Set only when you arrive via such a link. Expires after 90 days. Strictly necessary for the referral programme.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Key Third-Party Services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing (see Stripe Privacy Policy)
  • AWS: Cloud hosting, data storage, and email delivery
  • Auth0 (Okta): Login and identity for the app
  • Twilio: SMS delivery for one-time codes and notifications
  • Google Firebase: Push notifications
  • Google (Tag Manager, Analytics 4), Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit: usage analytics and advertising measurement on our website — see Section 11 for what each does and how to opt out

13. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will:

  • Post the updated policy on our app and website
  • Send notifications for material changes
  • Indicate the effective date of changes
  • Provide at least 30 days' notice for significant changes
